We stand on the threshold of our Holy Thursday service. At that final gathering of Jesus with the disciples, Christ humbled himself as a servant to wash their feet, cleaning them physically and spiritually. He instituted what we know as communion, sharing the elements of bread and cup. He left his friends with a new mission: to "Love one another as I have loved you." Finally, he prayed for them to continue in the work for which they were called. All of this was Christ's way of saying goodbye.

We invite you to join us for our service this evening. We will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, sharing a light supper of chicken and rice soup and bread, followed by a foot washing service at 6:30. At 7:00, we will resume our communion service in the Sanctuary.
