"Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints." Ephesians 6:18 NRSV
Each Sunday morning, we share our joys and concerns. We witness the special blessings we've experienced and those weighing on our hearts. We do this because we are siblings in Christ and care for each other. Then, going forth from the place of worship, we pray for those names raised throughout the week.
However, we should not confine our prayers to just those people or just those in our church. Our prayers should be for all the saints everywhere. We all face sickness, hardship, distress, and temptation at different times. It doesn't matter if we don't know the names or the details; God knows them. What matters is our prayers of intercession for each other. We pray for the health and wholeness of all the Lord's people.
Precious Lord, we give you thanks and praise. We raise your universal and apostolic church in our petitions today. We pray for all the saints that they may be healthy and safe. Help us to be one, united with each other and with you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Blessings,
Pastor Tim
