"O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure." Isaiah 25:1 ESV
Who do we praise today? When our children do well, we enthusiastically praise them and share their accomplishments with others. When our sports teams win, we become animated in discussing the win sharing details with anyone who cares to hear (and some that don't) our team’s greatness. We even praise our pets when they do something cute! These are all good things, they bring us joy and make us happy.
But do we exhibit the same enthusiasm for God? He created this beautiful world and everything in it, putting it in our trust to enjoy. When we turn away, he remains faithful. Daily he showers us with his gifts. He does all of this for no other reason than he loves us.
How will we choose to praise and worship God today? Will we spend extra time in prayer and thanksgiving? Will we sing along to that gospel song on the radio? Will we share the message of God's faithfulness and love with others? However, we praise him today; let’s do it with enthusiasm!
"Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised." Psalm 48:1
Most gracious and compassionate God, we give you all the praise. You are our Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, Savior, and Lord. Let everything we do today be for your glory. In Christ Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Blessings!
Pastor Tim
