Ransom

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. Ephesians 1:7 NLT

Since its first appearance in the late 1980s, there have been increases in ransomware incidents. Some bad actor takes control of our data using malware and threatens to make it public or deprive us of access unless the demand is paid. As a result, anyone with a footprint, individuals, businesses, and governments are at risk. According to one source, "In 2021, 576 US organizations fell victim to ransomware. This affected at least 34.1 million records and resulted in a cost of $159.4 billion in downtime alone."

Our souls were taken hostage after the garden incident involving a man, woman, serpent, and fruit. The malware of sin infected us with evil. The devastation that followed is beyond estimation.; we A price had to be paid, not in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, but by the life-giving blood of the Son, Jesus Christ Thanks to our loving and gracious Father, we are no longer held hostage, now free to live the lives the Father desires.

Father, thank you for your kindness and grace. You looked beyond our sin to what we could be, ransoming us with the life-giving source of your only Son's blood, that we owe you our very lives for this mercy. We humbly off you our praise and adoration, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Blessings,

Pastor Tim
