24/7/365

Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Isaiah 55:6 NIV

Do you remember the time before 24-hour convenience stores? We suddenly realized something we needed and rushed to beat the clock before the store closed. Sometimes, we might pull into the parking lot, as the lights were extinguished and the clerk turned the knob to lock the door. If only we had left five minutes earlier.

God is available 24/7/365 (including February 29th.) As long as we draw breath, he is open to us. Not only does he never close, but he is near! We don't need to get in the car to drive somewhere; he's as close as a prayer.

Nor is he hard to find. On the contrary, it's easy to locate; it's the place with the flashing neon OPEN sign and the waving red tube man in front. He's been trying to get our attention to come on in, walk around, and find what we need.

Everything in this store is absolutely free! If there were a cash register–all of it, God's help, healing, and salvation would ring up at zero cost. Jesus Christ has already paid the price.

God, we thank you for your accessibility. We confess we sometimes forget you're only a prayer away. Forgive us; we pray. Instead, may we be quick to turn to you in every situation, seeking your counsel and deliverance. We pray this in the name of the one who paid the price, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Blessings,

Pastor Tim
