Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. Psalms 47:1 NIV
One of the earliest signs of delight in a young child is clapping their hands. We have all seen them giggle with delight as they bring their tiny hands together. Seeing the sheer joy on their faces lifts our hearts as we share those moments with them.
God must also be delighted when we come as children into worship—just being in that moment in God's presence and reacting to his glory. Setting aside all our troubles and distractions for the moment. Our only intent is to exhibit our adoration for him as we clap our hands and raise our voices in joyful praise,
God, we come before you today as little children rejoicing in you. We delight in your presence, acknowledging you are our Heavenly Father who loves and cherishes us. Please forgive our sins, refresh our souls, and accept your praise. Bless your children go into the world, sharing the joyful deliverance of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Blessings,
Pastor Tim
