For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalms 139:13-14 NIV
Today's verse is an excellent reminder to us all of how intensely God loves us. Yes, we are here because of the biological joining of our mothers and fathers, but it is God who made that biology happen. It is He who gives us both breath and soul as we develop within the womb.
God's love doesn't stop with our birth, but his grace accompanies us all our days. So when we feel insignificant, ignored, or depressed, we only need to recall that we have been created with reverence and respect uniquely made by none other than God himself. Furthermore, he offers redemption from sin in this same love desiring to spend forever with us.
Gracious God, we give you thanks for your love. Before you created us, you already loved us. You gave us life and a way to eternal life. Please help us to remember your love for all those around us. For, you have created everyone fearfully and wonderfully. Let us treat all with the same love and respect you show us. Amen.
Blessings,
Pastor Tim
