"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
I have a prayer stone etched with this scripture in my home office. In plain sight, it serves as a constant reminder of God's promise. As I pick it up and rub its hard, smooth surface, feeling the words cut into the stone, I offer up a prayer of gratitude for his unfailing grace.
It is comforting to know that God has a plan for each and every one of us. Even when we can't understand what that plan is, we find comfort in the knowledge of that hope. In those dark days of uncertainty, we can take courage in the promise of the future. In God's infinite love, he has uniquely formed each of us to serve a purpose in his unfolding plan.
God of all love and compassion, we give you thanks for your plans for us. You have made, molded, and continue to refine us for a particular purpose. Please help us use our unique gifts to bring about your glorious kingdom. Amen.
Blessings,
Pastor Tim
