Sing, Sing a Song

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” —1 Chronicles 16:11 (NIV)
When the ark of the covenant returned to Jerusalem, God’s people welcomed it with music, dancing, and joy. David appointed singers and musicians to lead the celebration, reminding the people to remember God’s works and seek His presence with grateful hearts.
Their worship wasn’t quiet. It was bold, joyful, and full of life—because remembering God’s faithfulness naturally leads to song.
We are invited to do the same today. God has delivered us through Christ, walks with us in every moment, and strengthens us when our own strength fades. Whether we’re at the altar, in the car, or in the quiet of home, His presence meets us.
And so we sing. Not because life is perfect, but because God is faithful. Not because our voices are flawless, but because praise lifts our hearts.
It’s a bit like that familiar song from the 70s—the one with the same title as today's message —that encouraged us to sing without fear… to sing something simple, something true, something from the heart.
Lord, fill our hearts with gratitude and our lips with praise. Let your joy be the song that carries us through this day. Amen.
Grace & Peace,
Pastor Tim
